Grateful

Sometimes all you’ve got nothing and everything,

And I, I’m left with only his memories,

I still remember the very first time we’ve met,

That pounding heart of mine was stopped for a moment to catch a breathe & actually believe you were standing right in front of me,

I was sitting and he grabbed me in his arms,

That moment felt like an eternity to me,

But not everything is meant to last,

You don’t think about that when it’s perfect & when it’s over there’s a huge hole,

But there’s also a pair of wings waiting for you,

Knowing you wherever you are I know you’re happy,

You’re flying and free & I’m still here,

I’m still here grateful,

Grateful for knowing you & being part of you..!
